Cohutta's Origin

For us - as with many people all over the world, coffee is a part of our everyday lives. It’s often the first thing we crave when we wake up. Folger’s isn’t wrong. That first sip triggers something in our brains to wake up and start the day. And it usually begins with an audible appreciation for the feeling it evokes.

It’s a ritual. One that we discovered can transcend routine and pass into the realm of pure joy. After years of coffee drinking, we realized that the flavor was far more important to us than the buzz of the caffeine. Our tastebuds began to notice hints of this and notes of that, bitter aftertastes, and lack of oomph. It was then that we realized we wanted to learn more about our favorite beverage – what it is, where it came from, how it’s made, and how to make it our own. 

Thus, Cohutta Coffee. 

Sprouting from a love for the taste of our daily beverage. The feeling. The adventure that awakens inside all of us on that first sip. 

We’re The Browns. And we like – no, love – coffee. Green. Ground. Medium. Dark. Hot. Iced. Pour over. Espresso. Drip. It is one of our passions. 

We want you to love it, too; however you choose to drink it. We roast fresh and deliver quickly. We pick the beans. You choose the roast. You choose the grind (or not).
